Get To Know Me

Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

A little about me:

My name is Rachel (AKA: Jedi Variant). I was born and raised in Tennessee, where I currently live and work as a School Psychologist in my local public school system. I made my first cosplay back in 2016, which I wore to my first convention in 2018, but I didn't really become super active in the cosplay community until after I started a dedicated cosplay Instagram account back in 2022.

My favorite convention to attend is DragonCon, but I also enjoy attending local conventions across Tennessee as much as I can. You can usually catch me in the cosplay contests or wandering aimlessly through the convention space admiring all the amazing cosplays.

I have managed to rope some of my family into my cosplay hobby. My mom is my convention buddy and has gone to almost every con with me since my first in 2018. She has even started cosplaying with me! My sister has always enjoyed photography and started accompanying me to some cons a few years back to try out cosplay photography. Check out her photography business page, Madcapmags Photography; she takes some amazing cosplay photos!

Outside of cosplay, I am the proud pet parent of Suki, my crazy miniature Australian Shepherd. Suki loves to steal my fabric scraps off the floor to remind me to keep a clean crafting space... or to try... 😂

I cross-post some content here, but am not as active. I mostly use Facebook for the groups!

If you'd like to support my cosplays financially, I have an Amazon wishlist and a Ko-fi! That being said, I don’t expect any donations—your support just by being here means the world to me!
